“The Sherman Artists Open Studio Show”

Art Show November 18, 2022 - January 11, 2023

The Sherman Library is pleased to announce “The Sherman Artists Open Studio Show,” a group show that features talented local artists. Participating artists in this show include Bethe Bogues, Carolyn Cohen, Sylvia Hierro, Linda Hubbard, Kenny Litwack, Mary Jane Magoon, Mae Maimone, Annie McAward, Cynthia O’Connor, Virginia Schaffer, and Muriel Stockade. The show will be on display from November 18th to January 11th, 2023 both in the Library and at www.ShermanLibrary.org.

The second Sherman Artists Open Studio is being held Sunday, December 3rd & 4th, from 10am to 4pm. Twelve local Sherman artists are participating in this year’s Open Studio event. Some artists will be hosting visitors in their studios, others at the Sherman Town Hall and the Sherman Senior Center. The Sherman Artists Open Studio event features a great variety of painters, photographers, mixed media, jewelry, fused glass, and fabric artists who will show their artwork and explain their processes.

Sherman Artists Open Studio brochures are available online and at the Sherman Library. The brochures include a map and an overview of the participating artists and a list of sponsors. Bright yellow signs will be located throughout town to help guide you to the locations.

The Sherman Artists Open Studio event features five artists in home studios (Linda Hubbard, Kenny Litwack, Mary Jane Magoon, Muriel Stockade and Virginia Schaffer) and seven pop-up studios located at the Sherman Senior Center (Bethe Bogues, Renee Collins, Mae Maimone, and Cindy O’Connor) and the Sherman Town Hall Meeting Room (Carolyn Cohen, Sylvia Hierro and Annie McAward).

Sherman is the home of many talented artists. This is an opportunity to meet some of them and learn about their techniques and passions. For more information, visit www.ShermanArtists.org.
